When did The Beatles start?
John Lennon, Paul McCartney and George Harrison had been playing together since 1958, under different band names. They adopted the Beatles name and "turned professional" in the spring of 1960. Pete Best joined them in August, just before they left for Hamburg. Ringo Starr replaced Best in 1962.

JOHN LENNON
John Lennon was born on October 9, 1940. John Lennon got his first guitar when
he was a teenager he also taught himself to play. When he was 15 he started his
own band with Paul McCartney and George Harrison. The name of Lennon’s band
kept on changing it’s name and the name Beatles stayed.
PAUL MCCARTNEY
Paul was born on June 18, 1942. He learned how to play piano
then he learned how to play the guitar. He joined John Lennon and George
Harrison.He is the most popular Beatle, after he is Jhon Lennon
GEORGE HARRISON
George Harrison February 25, 1943. When he was 13 he
learned how to play the guitar. He joined the Quarrymen (Lennon’s Band). George
was considered the quiet Beatle.
RINGO STARR
Ringo Starr July 7, 1940. Richard Starkey (Ringo) got his
nickname for his love about rings. He joined the Beatles in the early 1960’s. He
became the drummer for replacing Pete Best.

The Beatles became very popular with John, Paul, and George
on guitar and Ringo on the drums. Some of there greatest hits were: “Love me
do”, “Hard days night”, “Twist and shout”, and “Help”.

The break-up and deaths started after John Lennon started recording songs with his second wife. The Beatles had broken-up forever. John was shot in New York City in 1980 and George died in 2001 of cancer.
